a. Note:   NOECKER, Shirley Watson (nee Cunningham) - Of RR 2, Moorefield. It is with great sadness but wonderful memories that we announce the passing of Shirley Noecker on Friday, September 21, 2007, in her 80th year. She will be dearly remembered as she is reunited with her husband, Morris, who passed away September 22, 2003. Loved Mom and best friend of Brenda (Chuck) Gibson of Kitchener and Robert Noecker of RR 2, Moorefield. Special grandmother of Brent and Tyler Gibson both of Kitchener. Loving sister of Dorothy and Glenn Dickson of Moorefield and Murray and Diane Cunningham of Coquitlam, B.C. Sister-in-law of Thelma Horne of Palmerston, Ralph and Ruth Noecker of Moorefield, Erla Dickson of Moorefield and Norma Wand of Palmerston. Fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by one sister, Beryl Cunningham (1942); her parents, Scott and Hazel (Watson) Cunningham and two brothers-in-law, Norman Horne and Keith Dickson. Shirley spent many years in the classroom, always being a perfect and highly respected role model. She set high standards for herself and her students and worked tirelessly to ensure they reached their highest potential. As the years progressed Shirley never lost interest in learning of the progress of her former pupils. Shirley's perseverance, positive attitude and faith were inspirational to those who walked this journey with her. She left a legacy of love, laughter and relationships for us to treasure. Special thanks to the many caring health professionals at Grand River Regional Cancer Center, Community Care Access Center and the Nurses at Listowel Memorial Hospital. The family will receive friends at the Heritage Funeral Home , Drayton on Sunday, September 23, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rev. Gord Dunbar will conduct the funeral service in Moorefield United Church on Monday, September 24, 2007 at 2 p.m. Interment Bethesda Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Moorefield United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Mom, may your final journey bring you peace, comfort and the knowledge that your life has touched many hearts. Your example of love and strong faith will be an inspiration to the people whose lives you touched. We will love you forever.
