Note: N5 Elizabeth Cook “Beth” Hill, age 84, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1970, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2004 at Liberty Manor inColorado Springs. She was a Master Gardener, the mother of 5 sons, Army wife for 30 years, and had worked for many years at the Colorado Scoll for the Deaf and Blind. Helen Elizabeth Cook was born on October 5, 1920 to Joseph Alexander and Marion Fenimore Engle Cook in Montclair, New Jersey. She graduated from Westtown Friends School and attended Wellesley College and the University of Vermont. She married Colonel Charles Russell Hill (U.S. Army, Ret.) on May 29, 1942 in a garden wedding in Montclair, New Jersey. She is survived by her 5 sons: David Alexander Hill, of Hayward, California; Dr. Charles Richard and wife Martha Hill, of Boulder, Colorado; James Douglas and wife Barbara Hill, of Stafford, Virginia; Daniel Christopher and wife Jane Hill of Silverdale, Washington; and Thomas Earl Hill of Colorado Springs; and 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; also her sister Marion Louise Cook Ladd of Colorado Springs.
