Note: Information on the WYMAN family was given to me by: Stephen Robbins <Sjmrlaw@@aol.com> December 13, 2004 COMMENTS/NOTES: Wyman was a tanner by profession. Tanneries had been active in Woburn from the 1640s and fluorished for some three centuries (becoming something of a scandal with the Perc and TCE litigation of the 1980s, described in detail in Jonathan Haars book, A Civil Action, subsequently produced as a major motion picture). After Jacob Wymans first wife died, he (at the age of 74) married her cousin in 1739, another Elizabeth Richardson (daughter of Joseph Richardson and Hannah Green). Wyman served as Woburn Town Constable 1692/93.
