Note: John, Sarah and daughter Sarah came in the "Hercules," April 1634, and settles in Scituate. His brother, George, also lived there. He became a freeman February 7, 1637. John was a butcher by trade. He moved to Boston in 1652 where Sarah died in 1657. On November 22, 1659, he married Alice (Mattocks) Bishop, widow of Nathaniel Bishop. In New England Marriages prior to 1700, it shows Alice marrying again before 1680. This means that John would have died prior to 1680. Source: Pioneers of Massachusetts, Charles Pope, 1900.
