Note:   GENERALNOTES: From teaguerman@netzero.net: Brothers Clark Spidle (1842-1914) born Sandusky, Ohio and Daniel Spidle born May 14, 1847 were the sons of George Spidle and Elizabeth Yawkin Spidle. Clark first married [Amanda] Elizabeth Norris July 29, 1876 and had 2 children Blanch(e) and Clyde Walton at the time of the 1880 U.S. Census and was living in Clay Township, LaGrange County, IN. Another son was Milo Spidle. Clark is said to have had 13 children, 4 daughters and 6 sons by his first wife and 3 children by his second wife. Daniel Spidle married Charlotte Francesca (known as Francesca) Babcock and had 3 children George born 1873, Leon born 1875 and Jesse born 1878 at the time of the 1880 U.S. Census and was living in Clay Township, LaGrange County, IN. Clark, who was a Union Army Civil War Veteran , subsequently moved to Sherman, Antioch Township, Wexford County, MI, then to Kingsley, Grand Traverse County, MI and Traverse City. Grand Traverse County, MI. He, his second wife Lorena Cronkhite, son Clyde Walton Spidle and Martin and Charles Delos Spidle, sons by his second marriage, are buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Traverse City, MI. Daughter Blanch(e) first married Charles Spaulding, and subsequently married Thomas W. Chapman, a copper miner at Butte, MT and is buried in Mt. View Cemetery there.
