David Krug: Death: 1959
Note: Telegraph Harold, Dubuque, Iowa Norma L. Krug, 67, 2616 Glenview Circle, died at 2:25 p.m. Monday, March 2, 1998, at The Finley Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Nativity Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road, where there will be a Nativity Parish scripture wake service at 5 p.m. Norma retired from the Dubuque Community Schools, where she was a teacher associate at Helen Keller School. She was born on June 8, 1930, in Petersburg, Iowa, daughter of Michael and Leona (Roling) Herting. She married Walter F. Krug on Aug. 25, 1951, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dubuque. She was a member of Nativity Parish for more than 45 years and a member of its "We Care" Committee. She was a member of T.O.P.S. 285 and enjoyed many hours at her sewing machine. She was a devoted wife, mother grandmother and friend. She was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed. Surviving are her husband, Walter F. Krug, of Dubuque; two sons, Jon (Peggy) Krug, of Dubuque, and Steve (Amy) Krug, of Amana, Iowa; four daughters, Carla (Del) Heffner, of Dubuque, Cathy Fenelon, of Coralville, Iowa, and Carol and Janet Krug, both of Dubuque; seven granddaughters, Tera, Cindy, Amanda and Katie Heffner, Kayla, Kassie and Ellen Krug, and a grandson, Isaac Fenelon; three brothers, Emil (Darlene) Herting, of Sherrill, Vern (Carol) Herting, of Potosi, Wis., and Loras (Claire) Herting, of Maquoketa, Iowa; six sisters, Anita (John) Gilles, Nancy (Kenny) Steffen and Mary (Buzz) Duschen and Judy Herting, all of Dubuque, Janet (John) Neyens, of Marion, Iowa, and Linda (Dave) Mizaur, of Monee, Ill.; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mrs. Roger (Judy) Hafeman. She was preceded in death by her son, David Krug, in 1959; her parents; two brothers, Earl and James Herting; and a sister, Luetta Herting. Memorials may be given to Tri-State Dialysis, 1515 Delhi St., Dubuque, Iowa 52001.
