a. Note:   Loneita (Stoffel) Reich, 69, passed away September 22, 1999 at her home in Mandan, North Dakota of cancer. Funeral services were held September 27, 1999 at Spirit of Life Catholic Church in Mandan, ND. Father Cyprian Meier was celebrant. Burial was in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan. Loneita was born January 31, 1930 in Salem, SD to Henry and Elizabeth (Wingen) Stoffel. She attended St. Mary's Grade and St. Mary's High School and graduated in 1948. She graduated from the nursing program at Williston Branch at the University of North Dakota in 1962. On January 7, 1967 she married Erwin Reich in Mandan. Loni and her husband operated Erv's Copy Service and managed the Mandan United Way. Loni believed in giving her time for others. She volunteered countless hours to various organizations in her community. She drove the Handicapped Association bus for many years. she was in charge of the American Legion Concession stand for many years. her life was dedicated to the youth by sharing her time at St. Joseph's School which was a school for boys. Loni was involved at all levels serving as post President of Mandan Legion Auxiliary, board member for the Bismarck-Mandan Handicapped Association and the community action program. She is survived by four daughters, Linda and Ed Randash, Luann Boeckermann from Billings, Montana; Laurie Brown and Dr. Richard Piper of St. Louis, Missouri; Marlene and Tim Uranna, Seattle, Washington; eight grand children; 2 great grandchildren, two brothers, Gerald and Darlene Stoffel of Hudson, SD; Donald and Becky Stoffel, Toledo, Ohio; two sisters Janella and Udell Peterson, Sturgis, SD; and Joanne and Roderick Schneider, Salem, SD. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1984, one son, Doug, her parents, two brothers, Delbert and Eugene, and two sisters, Elvera and Mildred.
