a. Note:   Henry J. Gebhart was born to Boniface and Magdalena Gebhart on March 10, 1889 at Carroll County, Iowa. He married Antje (Anna) Tydea DeWall on January 12, 1911 at Faulkton, SD. Anna was born December 22, 1892 at Ostgossefan, Krs Aurich, Germany. Henry became a harness maker and shoe repairman at Faulkton, SD. Henry and Anna moved to Canada for a few years but were forced to return to the United States at the outbreak of WW I. They returned to Faulkton and Hank started a harness shop there. A fire destroyed the shop and the family moved to the Castlewood, SD area to farm and later moved to Watertown, SD where Hank worked as a salesman. The couple divorced in 1945. Anna cooked at Immaculate Conception School and was a housekeeper for several priests. She died April 22, 1958 and is buried at Watertown, SD. Hank moved to Rapid City, SD and managed a shoe repair shop. He died August 19, 1964 and is buried at Rapid City, SD. Henry and Anna had nine children; Mary Gebhart Tesch, Patronella Gebhart Taecker, Cecilia Gebhart Harper, George Edward Gebhart, Nickolas H. Gebhart, Melvin J. Gebhart, Vera A. Gebhart Coffey, Shirley R. Gebhart and John D.
