Note:   Charles Edward Steineke, 82, of Sioux Falls, SD died Wednesday, October 27, 2004. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2004 at St. Joseph Cathedral. Our much-loved Husband, Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa, Charles Steineke, was born to Will and Mae (Wintersteen) Steineke on December 5, 1921 in Hartford, SD. He married Eleanore Spielmann on November 4, 1942 at St. George Catholic Church in Hartford. They moved to Sioux Falls, where Charlie worked for Art Thelin on a dairy farm for 14 years. He then worked for John Morrell until his retirement in 1983. He also farmed during this time. In addition to his wife, Eleanore, he is survived by his five children, Bev (Roger) Moe, Sandi (Tim) Kant, Charlene (Bob) Adams, all of Sioux Falls, Janet (Scott) Apland of Worland, WY, and Richard Steineke of Sioux Falls; sixteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; brother, Howard (Dorothy) of Canton, SD; sister, Betty Hansen of Sioux Falls; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Edna Steineke; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Melvin (Bud), Tom, and Frank. is NOT responsible for the content of the GEDCOMs uploaded through the WorldConnect Program.
