a. Note:   REMSEN (IOWA) BELL-ENTERPRISE, THURSDAY, AUG 2, 1973 ** FUNERAL SERVICES FOR LAWRENCE BECKMANN, 70, OF GRANVILLE WERE HELD FRIDAY, JUL 27 AT ST JOSEPH'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, GRANVILLE, IOWA. REV EDWARD HOFFMAN OFFICIATED AND BURIAL WAS IN THE PARISH CEMETERY. MR BECKMANN DIED TUESDAY, JULY 24 AT THE ORANGE CITY HOSPITAL. HE HAD BEEN IN FAILING HEALTH FOR SOME TIME. HE WAS BORN AUGUST 9, 1902 AT GRANVILLE, THE SON OF MR AND MRS JOHN BECKMANN. HE WAS A RETIED FARMER AND HAD LIVED NEAR GRANVILLE ALL OF HIS LIFE. SURVIVING ARE FOUR BROTHERS, RAYMOND OF WILMONT, MINNESOTA; FRANK OF PRIMGHAR, IOWA; ELMER AND CLARENCE OF GRANVILLE; AND TWO SISTERS, MISS HENRIETTA BECKMANN AND MRS. WILLIAM (MARINNA) ECKER, BOTH OF GRANVILLE. HE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS AND TWO SISTERS. PALLBEARERS WERE JOE KORBACH, PAUL GOERGEN, JOE SCHWARZ, ROBERT FISCHER, ROY EBEL, AND ELWOOD KOEHIMOES. THE FISCH FUNERAL HOME WAS IN CHARGE OF ARRANGEMENTS. PER PRAYER CARD FROM COLETTA WAHLE ROLING--LAWRENCE BECKMANN BORN 8-9-1902 DIED 7-24-1973 REMSEN, IOWA.
