Note: Obituary - Sioux City Journal Remsen, Iowa - Mrs. Albert (Eleanor) Siefke, 89, of Remsen died Wednesday, March 6, 1996, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars after a brief illness. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary�s Catholic Church at Remsen. The Rev. John J. McGurik will officiate, assisted by Deacon Allen Weiler. Burial will be at St. Mary�s Catholic Cemetery, Remsen. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Friday, with a rosary at 3 p.m. by the Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters of America and a prayer vigil service at 7:30 p.m. at the Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen. Mrs. Siefke was born August 22, 1906, in rural Remsen, the daughter of Fred and Mary (Riesburg) Roling. She was raised in the Remsen area and attended St. Mary�s Catholic School. She married Albert Siefke July 21, 1924, at Remsen. The couple farmed south of Remsen in the early 1950s and continued to farm until retiring in 1967. He died Dec. 13, 1977. She had been a resident of Happy Siesta Nursing Home in Remsen since Feb. 8, 1996. She was a member of St. Mary�s Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters of America and St. Mary�s Missionary Association. . Survivors include a daughter Arlys and her husband, Sam Orbin of Le Mars; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Lawrence and his wife Mildred Roling of Remsen and a sister Martha and her husband, Ernest Groepper of Remsen. She was proceeded in death by Two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Doris) Garvin and Donna Roepke; three brothers, Elmer in infancy, Frank and Gilbert Roling; five sisters, Marie Roling as a child, Mrs. Frank (Theresa) Nacke, Mrs. Tony (Regina) Pick, Mrs. Al (Henrietta) Tentinger, and Mrs. Paul (Rosella) Rodesch. Pallbearers will be Leo Freking, James George, Frank and Gerry Nacke, Arlie Pick and Fred Roling
