Obituary - Remsen Bell Rosell Rodesch, 85, of Remsen, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 1989, at the home of her son, Larry, In Remsen, after a brief illness. Funeral was at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary�s Catholic Church at Remsen with Rev. John J. McGurik officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Visitation began at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen. A Christian Mothers/Catholic Daughters rosary was at 3 p.m. and a parish rosary at 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Rodesch was born March 19, 1904, a rural Remsen, the daughter of Fred and Mary (Riesburg) Roling. She grew up and received her education there. She married Paul Rodesch on Jan. 31, 1928, at Remsen. They farmed in the Remsen area, moving into Remsen in 1967, and retiring in 1969. She was a member of St. Mary�s Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and Catholic Daughters of America. Survivors are a son, Larry of Remsen: two daughters, Mrs. Gail Buck of San Dimas, Calif. and Mrs. Loren (Myrna) Hawkins of Apple Valley, Calif.; two brothers, Lawrence of Remsen and Gilbert of Kingsley: three sisters, Mrs. Regina Pick, Mrs. Eleanore Sifke and Mrs. Martha Groepper, all of Remsen: five grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul, Oct. 4, 1979; two brothers, Elmer (who died as an infant) and Frank; three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Theresa) Nacke, Mrs. Al (Henrietta) Tentinger, and Marie ( who died as a child). is NOT responsible for the content of the GEDCOMs uploaded through the WorldConnect Program.
