Note:   Remsen Bell Newspaper, Remsen, Iowa Funeral Wednesday for Theresia Nacke Mrs. Frank (Theresia)Nacke Sr., 96 of Remsen, died Saturday, Nov. 5, 1988 at Happy Siesta Nursing Home here after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at St. Mary's Catholic Church here. Rev. Dennis Sefcik officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under direction of the Fisch Funeral Home, Soloist, Mrs. Pam Bottjen. Mrs. Nacke, the former Theresia Roling, was born Nov. 14, 1891 to Frederick and Theresia (Funke) Roling at New Vienna, IA. She came to Remsen with her parents in 1900. Her marriage to Frank Nacke Sr. took place May 5, 1914 at Remsen. The couple farmed near Remsen until retiring and moving into town. Frank died on Jan. 27, 1971 and she moved to Roswell, New Mexico in May of 1979 and lived there until August of 1984. She then moved to the Country Side Estates at Cherokee. She had been a resident at Happy Siesta Nursing Home since April 23, 1985. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. Surviving are a son, Frank Jr. of Remsen; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Lewine) Dillon of Roswell, N. M. and Mrs. Charles (Norma) Haack of Mt. Vernon, IA.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two half-brothers Lawrence Roling of Remsen and Gilbert Roling of Kingsley; four half-sisters, Mrs. Tony (Regina)Pick, Mrs. Paul (Rosella) Rodesch, Mrs. Albert (Eleanor) Siefke and Mrs. Ernest (Martha) Groepper, all of Remsen. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank; two sons, Elmer and Vernon; two half-brothers, Frank and Elmer Roling; two half-sisters, Miss Marie Roling and Mrs. Al (Henrietta) Tentinger; her parents, Frederick and Theresia Roling and her step-mother, Mary Roling. Casket bearers were Steve Haack, Francis Gerry, Mark and Thomas Nacke and Robert Thiel.
