a. Note:   William Rayman, age 77, of Salem, SD died Tuesday, August 2, 2005, near his farm west of Salem. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, August 6, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary�s Catholic Church, Salem. Burial will be in the church cemetery. William Rayman, son of Vern and Maye (Norder) Rayman, was born February 25, 1928 on a farm near Salem. He grew up in the Salem area and graduated from Salem St. Mary�s High School. While in high school, he was a Golden Gloves Boxer. On February 12, 1947, he married Joan Tuschen in Salem. He farmed in the Salem area and was still farming at the time of his death. His wife died in 2002. He was a member of St. Mary�s Catholic Church of Salem. During his lifetime, he enjoyed working with horses, his Gelbveih cattle, and reading western novels. He was instrumental in getting the Stone Pony Saddle Club started. He also liked to hunt and enjoyed fixing things. Survivors include his children, Barb Wagner of Sioux Falls, Nick of Aberdeen, Kay (Mike) McCormick, Anita (Allen) Feterl, and Carol (Tom) Peterson, all of Salem, and Alice (Ron) Heiberger of Sioux Falls; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Ray (Sharon) of Tempe, AZ, Tom of Texas, and Joe (Fran) of Phillip, SD.
