Paris Apostelkirche (Ste-Genevieve); m. 526/27 Amalarich der Westgoten erm Barcelona 531 [Ref: ES I.1 #1] Daughter of King Clovis I and Queen Clotilda, Chrotilda was married off by her brothers to Amalaric, King of the Visigoths. He mistreated her because she was a Catholic (the Visigothiuc rulers were Arian). She sent to her brother King Childebert of Paris for aide; he quickly had Amalaric killed and asked his sister to return to Paris with him. For some reason, Chrotilda died on the journey.
