On 9 May 1418the King took his homage and fealty and he had livery of hisfather's lands. He was summoned to Parliament from 24 August1419 to 5 July 1435, by writs directed Johanni baroni deGreystok', with the addition of chivaler on and after 24February 1424/5. On 22 March 1420/1 he was appointed Keeper ofRoxborough Castle, for 4 years, at a salary of �1,000 a year intime of peace and �2,000 a year in time of war. He was appointeda commissioner to treat of peace with the Scots, and concerningviolations of the truces, &c. He married (contract, 28 October 1407) Elizabeth, elder daughterand coheir of Sir Robert DE FERRERs, by Joan DE BEAUFORT,daughter of John of Gaunt, DUKE OF LANCASTER, and granddaughterand coh. of Elizabeth, Lady of Wem and Ollesley, daughter andheir of Sir William LE BOTILLER, [3rd Lord Botiller] of thesame.
