On December 22, 1840, Williamson Perkins married Eliza Ann Holtzclaw in Talbot County, Georgia. Eliza was born on August 1, 1825 in Georgia and is the daughter of Horrace Holtzclaw and Mariah Holtzclaw. In 1850, Williamson and Eliza Perkins were living in Talbot County, Georgia and they were the parents of at least three children: Mariah Jane Perkins (2.6.3.1), b. November 25, 1841, Talbot County, Georgia James Wright Perkins, b. 1843, Talbot County, Georgia Susan (Martha) Perkins, b. 1845, Talbot County, Georgia Williamson and Eliza Perkins had a son who died in young manhood. In 1860, Williamson and Eliza Perkins were living in Stewart County, Georgia. Williamson Perkins was a farmer. Williamson Perkins was killed in the Battle of Griswoldville during the Civil War and was buried in the Providence Cemetery in Stewart County, Georgia.
