  He accompanied Johannes Hendrickse Smock and Catherine Barents when Johannes and Catherine relocated before 2 February 1705 and came to reside in Staten Island, Richmond County, New York(Listed in local records as "Hannes, Assessor, West"). He appeared on the census of 1706 in the household of Johannes Hendrickse Smock in Staten Island, New York(In the census, his age is noted as "33," men over 16 are "John Smak," under boys are "Hendrick Smak," Barnt Smak,"and "John Smak," and under girls "Anne Smok"and"Catherine Smok," and under women"Catherine Smok"). He relocated 1712 and came to reside in Monmouth County, New Jersey. He accompanied Johannes Hendrickse Smock and Catherine Barents when Johannes and Catherine relocated in 1712 and came to reside in Middletown, Monmouth County, New Jersey. He left a will before 30 May 1747(Names wife Mary,children John, eldest son, Catherine, and Nelly Lane, and as executors Cornelius vanderveer, Barrents Smock, and Garret
 Schank).
