He was born July 28, 1914, at rural Moundridge, the son of John P. and Anna Stucky Goering. He graduated from Moundridge High School in 1932. A lifetime area resident, he was a farmer and dairyman. He belonged to Eden Mennonite Church, rural Moundridge. On Aug. 22, 1940, he married Helen V. Goering at Moundridge. She survives. Other survivors include: three daughters, Kathleen J. Goering, McPherson, Janet J. Ediger, Newton, and Virginia L. Niehage, Moundridge; a brother, Weldon E. Goering, Moundridge; two sisters, Esther Krehbiel, Hutchinson, and Lorene Schrag, Pretty Prairie; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Beverly Anne Wiebe, and an infant daughter, Josephine Goering; two brothers, Martin J.P.
