Note:   Newton Kansan - 2-7-2005: PRETTY PRAIRIE -- Walter J.J. 'Matzie' Graber, 87, died Friday (Feb. 4, 2005) at Prairie Sunset Home in Pretty Prairie. He was born Oct. 21, 1917, to Jacob J. and Frances Goering Graber in Pretty Prairie. He married Vi Krehbiel Nov. 10, 1946, in Pretty Prairie. She survives. He was a lifetime resident of the Pretty Prairie community. He was a retired farmer and school custodian. He was a member of First Mennonite Church in Pretty Prairie. Other survivors include: two sons, Stan of Pretty Prairie and Wayne of Dallas; two daughters, Nancy Anderson of Wichita and Karen Andres of Newton; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: brothers, Bernard, Ed and Phil;sisters, Attilia Graber, Frieda Schrag and Margaret Flickner; and a great-granddaughter, Stacey Ann Graber.
