a. Note:   After Andreas died in the Hutterite settlement, Katharina returned to the Swiss Menn group bringing six children with her. This was the advent of the Waltner name in the Swiss Mennonite congregations. Katharina probably lived with her eldest daughter Katharina and husband Jacob Gerig after their marriage in 1824.
