a. Note:   Hutch News - 9-14-2004: MOUNDRIDGE - Ronald D. Wedel, 72, died Sept. 13, 2004, at Memorial Home, Moundridge. He was born Aug. 13, 1932, at Newton, the son of Jacob A. and Lillie E. Wedel. A lifetime Moundridge resident, he was a farmer and purebred sheep producer. He was past district secretary of Mennonite Hilfs-Plan. He belonged to Eden Mennonite Church, Moundridge, and was a past president of American Southdown Breeders Association. On Aug. 28, 1956, he married Florene M. Flickner at Moundridge. She survives. Other survivors include: three sons, Duane J. and Dennis D., both of Moundridge, and Dwight R., Buhler; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert H.
  Newton Kansan - 9-13-2004: MOUNDRIDGE -- Ronald D. Wedel, 72, died Monday (Sept. 13, 2004) at Memorial Home in Moundridge. He was born Aug. 13, 1932, to Jacob A. and Lillie E. Wedel in Newton. He married Florene M. Flickner Aug. 28, 1956, in Moundridge. She survives of Moundridge. He was a lifetime Moundridge resident and graduated from Moundridge High School in 1950. He was a farmer, purebred sheep producer and past district secretary of Mennonite Hilfs-Plan. He was a member of Eden Mennonite Church in Moundridge. He was a past president of the American Southdown Breeders Association. Other survivors include: three sons, Duane J. Wedel and Dennis D. Wedel, both of Moundridge, and Dwight R. Wedel of Buhler; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert H. Wedel.
