Annie Mockbee: Birth: 1870.
Note: undefined Obituary from the San Jose Daily Mercury, June 17, 1891, page 3, column 2: Mountain View Notes, June 16 J.W. Mockbee, a pioneer of this section of the county, was buried yesterday (June 15). He was the father of J.S. Mockbee, one of our wealthy citizens. The funeral was held at the family residence on Villa Street, with a large number of friends and acquaintances present. The local Odd Fellows Lodge accompanied by (illegible). The deceased was a well-known and highly respected citizen, and his death was very sudden, being entirely unexpected by his family. Real cause of death is believed to have been internal injuries received at the hands of a drunken brute who assaulted him on the street, knocked him down and beat him terriblely, but at the time it was not thought to have been as serious as now proven. He leaves a widow and quite a large family.
