Notes
a. Note:   > The following were perhaps all sons of Michael Inman, although some of them may have been nephews: Abraham, Benjamin, Ezekial, Michael. > All these four people settled in Albany Co., NY and were all in the same company of Colonel John McCrea's regiment during the Revolution. One of these soldiers was killed in service, leaving a son, Jeremiah, b. 1780 in NY state. This Jeremiah left NY to follow the sea, and later settled in Prince Edward Island where he took up land. His brother, Thomas, and his mother, who was married a second time to James Laird, accompanied him. About this time the spelling of the name seems to have changed to "Enman". Jeremiah settled in the center of the grant, at 50 deg. latitude. He raised horses, cattle, and sheep, and was a great grain grower. He had the best horses on the Island. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- >Some have suggested that Jeremiah Enman is a child of this union. But Michael Inman died in 1736 while Jeremiah was born in 1748. Hannah is mentioned in Glocester records as a widow on March 14, 1736-7. By 1742 she had remarried, to Edward Meach, and had a daughter, Mary Meach. >Michael's only son, Daniel, did not marry and died in 1759. So, at best, Jeremiah is more likely a grandnephew. Michael's two daughters did move to NY as did the boys mentioned above.
