Willard was in Cook Co., IL by 1837 and settled in Kaneville, Kane Co., IL in 1838. Rev. T. Rawlin purchased the claim on which Kaneville Village now stands from Willard in 1845. Willard was residing in Paw Paw Tp., De Kalb Co., IL in 1850. On 18 Jan. 1858 he purchased land in Sec. 34, Tp. 91 (Jefferson Tp.), Butler co., IA, and was living in Jefferson Tp. in 1860.
