Note: Parents - Annie Giles & Erwin Clyde Buell. Obituary of Mrs. Edith Underwood Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Jane Buell Underwood, 64, a proof reader for the Globe-News, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Original First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. W. Winfred Moore, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by N. S. Griggs & Sons Funeral Directors. A native of Roanoke, Tex., she graduated from Mary Hardin-Baylor College. She and Robert Leon Underwood were married on July 27, 1927, in Roanoke, and they moved to Amarillo in 1942. Mrs. Underwood had been with the Globe-News for 14 years at the time of her death. She had also done free-lance writing and was a member of the Panhandle Pen Women and the First Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Robert S. Geer of Immokalee, FL, and Mrs. N. B. Langford of Gainesville, FL, her stepmother, Mrs. Anabell Buell of Pilot Point; sisters Mrs. Alexander Smith of Philadelphia, half-sisters, Mrs. Bert Kelley of Midothian and Mrs. James Starrett of Arlington; brother, William Henry Buell of Lubbock, half-brothers, Dr. E. C. Buell of Denton, Warner Buell of Pilot Point and Frank G. and Richard Buell of Carrollton, and Paul of Las Cruces, N. B., and four grandchildren.
