a. Note:   SCOUNT MALDEN, 1st son and heir, being only child of 1st wife; born 21 February 1884, at 37 Herford Street, Mayfair; educated at Eton 1897-1900; 2nd Lieutenant 7th Hussars 1902-04. He married 28 September 1905 (an elopement)) at the Registry Office, Cirencester, and subsequently at the parish church of Maisey Hampton, Mary Eveline Stewart, 1st daughter of William Russell Stewart FREEMAN, D.L., of the Old Manor House, Wingrave, Bucks, a partner in Aldridge's horse repository in St. Martin's Lane. This marriage was dissolved by divorce in 1926 [she died 30 October 1955] and he married 2ndly, 10 February 1926, Alys Montgomery, daughter of Robert hayes Falkiner and formerly wife of Ernest Scott-Brown. This marriage was in turn dissolved by divorce in 1950 and he married 3rdly, 10 December 1950, Zara Mildred carlson, of los Angeles, california. This marriage was dissolved by divorce in 1957 and he married 4thly, 1957, Christine Mary, daughter of George Frederick Davis of Handsworth Wood, co. Warwick. He died 8 December 1966. His widow died 1985. [CP 5:150, 14:310] Family Estates --- These, in 1883, consisted of about 10,000 acres in England and about 5,000 in Ireland---Total, about 15,000 acres £18,936 a year. Principal Residence----Cassiobury Park, near Watford, Herts. Note.-The Cassiobury estate in Herts was sold about 1905, by the 7th Earl, to a brother of his 2nd wife.
