Note:   Soldier in the Franc and Indian Wars, a settler in Bagaduce (now Castine, ME) in 1765.In 1779 soon after the start of the Revolutionary War the British burned his house at Bagaduce and carried off the family as prisoners. After the was they returned to Bagaduce.In an article entitles The Early Settlers of the Town of Penobscot by Hosea B. Wardell, which appeared in the Probably Journal of Belfast in 1890, and was later reprinted in the Bangor Historical Magazine, vol. vii., pp. 25-26, may be found a somewhat detailed biography of Aaron Banks.
