Note: OAKDALE � The funeral for Ansavelia Buxton Willis will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2005, in First United Pentecostal Church. The Revs. Darren Miller and Dexter Goynes of First Pentecostal Church in Glenmora will officiate. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home.Mrs. Willis, 90, entered eternal rest Friday, Dec. 9, in Allen Oaks Nursing Home. She was born on Nov. 5, 1915, to the union of Ellis Buxton and Alice Jane Taylor Buxton in Oakdale. She was a faithful and devoted member of First United Pentecostal Church and a homemaker. She also was very active in visiting and worshipping with residents at Allen Oaks Nursing Home.She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Alice Jane Buxton; husband, Richard Willis; one son, Sylvester Willis; two daughters, Julie Willis LeJuene and Ilene Willis; six brothers, Alfred, Rejoyce, Moses, Barney, Merle and Lloyd Buxton; and three sisters, Lou Dial, Lana Bertrand and Lora Jarreau.She leaves behind those to rejoice in her heavenly homecoming, but mourn her earthly presence: four beloved daughters, Silvia Willis Breaux and husband Willie of Lake Charles, Pauline Willis Bradford and Odessa Willis House and husband Billy, all of Oakdale, and Ginger Willis Caraway of Blairsville, Ga.; and two foster sons, Hershall Buxton of Olla and Clyde Ellis Buxton of Many.She also leaves behind 11 cherished grandchildren, Jerry, Jeffrey and Patricia Breaux, Ansavelia Lala, Baron and Jerry Jordan, Regina House, Jennifer House Keish, Donald Caraway Jr., Shawn Caraway and Melissa Caraway Crosswhite; six great-grandchildren, Lindsey Breaux, Nichole Veillon, Alisha Schexnayder, Ashley Caraway and Luke and Alexis Keish; and three great-great-grandchildren, Alex Brandon, Alyssa Ann and Trey James Schexnayder.Pallbearers honored to serve will be Jerry W. Breaux, Jeffrey Breaux, Greg Lala, Chuck Keish, Henry Odom and Herbert Levron.Visitation is 10 a.m.-10 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 10 a.m. Monday in the church.
