Note: !This person was a saddler at Pine Grove in 1850, according to the Book Of Bonawitz. Pine Grove is at Schuykill County, Pa. Benjamin, John and George had their decendants remain in the Schuykill Berks County area, and seven of their decendants fought in the Civil War. Benjamin was described in a Schuykill history as a tall, thickset man of commanding presence. He was a 1st Leutenant in the War of 1812, and later became a major in the militia. He was also a deacon at Saint Peters Church in Pine Grove. In addition, he was listed as a saddler in the 1850 census, and was a partner in a real estate venture at Pine Grove, according to the Book of Bonawitz. Benjamin and his spouse were buried at Jacob's Luthern Church, Schuykill County, Pa.
