Sanders DEATH: Services were held Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000 for Wilma H. Sanders, 75, of Verndale formerly of Long Prairie at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Long Prairie. Burialwas in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Long Prairie with the Rev. William Postel officiating. DEATH: Pallbearers were Bill Knaak, Robert McKee, Dwayne Zimmerman, Kenny Sanders, Howard Sanders, Lloyd Sanders. Arrangements were made by Stephan-Stein Funeral Home, Long Prairie. DEATH: Mrs. Sanders died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2000 at the Staples Care Center, Staples. DEATH: She was born Oct. 21, 1924 to Jochium and Amelia (Knaak) Busacker in Long Prairie. She grew up in Long Prairie and graduated from Long Prairie High School. She married Charles E. Sanders April 18, 1942 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Long Prairie. They farmed in rural Long Prairie until 1957. They moved to Minneapolis in 1957 and lived there until 1985. She worked at Tartan A & W for many years. She retired to Long Prairie and in 1996 moved to Verndale to live with her son and family. Shewas a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Long Prairie, Long Prairie Senior Citizen Center and the Long Prairie American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, embroidery, crocheting and craft work. DEATH: She was preceded in death byher husband, Aug. 30, 1987; and one son, Dave in 1971. DEATH: Survivors include two sons, Edward (Carol) Sanders of St. Paul and Robert (Sharon) Sanders of Verndale; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
