Note: NOTICE: Through DNA testing of men with the Mummy\Mummey\Mumy surname, I have been able to determine that the original surname of this family was MUMMY and became altered to MUMMA when Samuel Mumy enlisted in the Civil War in Harrisburg. He could not read nor write. Therefore, these descendants are not "genetically" related to the MUMMA family although that is the surname they use. - Doug Mumma doug@@mumma.org 1870 Census, PA, Dauphin Co., Wiconisco Twp., p. ? 5 Aug 1870 Mumma, Samuel, 50, miner, $1000 real estate, $300 personal, b.
