Continued: Disappeared. Some say the mob got him and gave him cement boots as he was supposed to be running illegal booze. Another story says he left with a woman. Read a letter at Aunt Dora's from him that he wrote about the time he was supposed to have disappeared. According to the letter, he was on the run and didn't tell great grandma so she couldn't tell anyone where he was. He did leave her instructions as to who owed him money and where his various valuables were and who to take them to for cash.
