a. Note:   DEATH AND BURIAL OF FRANK MCKELVIE, FORMER ALEXIS FARMER-STOCKMAN Frank A. McKelvie of Monmouth passed away at his home Sunday evening at 8 o'clock, after an extended period of illness.
The son of Michael and Marian (Peacock) McKelvie, he was born May 23, 1879, in Spring Grove township, Warren county. He was married October 29, 1903 to Miss Pearl Wixson, at her home in Alexis. He was a member of the Alexis United Presbyterian church and the Odd Fellows lodge for more than 25 years, holding membership in the Monmouth lodge No. 61.
Mrs. and Mrs. McKelvie retired from the farm here several years ago and moved to Monmouth.
Surviving are the wife and five children, Mrs. Frances Spicer of Monmouth, Cecil of Los Angeles, CA, Mrs. Louise Lyons of Cameron, LeRoy of Fresno, CA, and Walter of Little York. There are four grandsons and four granddaughters; two sisters and six brothers, Tom McKelvie of Monmouth; John, William and Harry McKelvie, Mrs. Kate Thompson, Mrs. Jennie Morgan and George McKelvie, all of Alexis; and Arch McKelvie of Idaho. Two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at the Alexis United Presbyterian church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in charge of Rev. Charles E. Courtney, pastor of the West Side United Presbyterian church of Monmouth. Burial was made in the Alexis cemetery.
