Continued: Lula Jane Wilcox, age 100, of Brewster Street, Painted Post, NY, died Monday, February 4, 2002, at Founders Pavilion in Corning. She was born in East Campbell, NY, on September 2, 1901, the daughter of Leroy and Minnie Stevens Wixson. She was the wife of the late Arthur Manoogian and William Wilcox. Lula attended the Little Red School House in East Campbell and worked for teh Ingersoll-Rand in Painted Post for over 24 years. Lula was a member of the First Baptist Church in Painted Post and the Ingersoll-Rand Retirees. Lula loved painting, traveling, gardening and bowling. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard; a daughter, Alta Miller; several brothers and sisters; and a grand daughter, Sandra Lee Manoogian. Her survivors include two daughters: Eva Farr of Corning, NY, and Doris (Bob) Opelt of Bedford, TX; one son, Armond (Elenaor) Manoogian of Erin, NY; many granchildren, great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Madeline (Edward) Ruter of Addison. Friends may call on Saturday, February 9, 2002 from 1-3 PM at Phillips Funeral Home Inc. Corning, NY where funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 3 PM with the Rev. Gary McCaslin officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Painted Post.
