He died in September 1810 in Little River, Coverdale Parish, Albert County, New Brunswick, Canada, and his will was probated on September 18, 1810. Robert's first marriage was to Margaret Wade [Colpitts.4.8/S1] on February 10 1768 in Parish Church of Gainford, Gainford, Durham County, England. His second marriage was to Elizabeth Newton [Colpitts.4.8/S2] sometime after 1794. Robert and his family immigrated from Norton, Crawford Parish, Durham County, England to Fort Cumberland, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, Canada. They settled on what is now the Colpitts farm near the Colpitts Settlement, Albert County, New Brunswick, Canada.
