The Derrick - Monday, March 17, 1975 Albert Nevel, Local Man, Dies At 81 Albert Leroy Nevel, 81, of 346 Washington Avenue, an employee of Hartsell's Jewelry Cleaners, was pronounced dead on arrival at Oil City Hospital at 1:05 p.m. Saturday. He was born June 14, 1893 in St. Petersburg, a son of John and Mary George Nevel. He moved from Reno to Oil City in 1939 and has resided here since that time. He was previously employed as a photo retoucher. In 1939 Mr. Nevel married the former Ruth Swarm. She prededed him in death June 2, 1965. Surviving is a son, Paul D. Nevel of Franklin. Friends may call at the Hutchinson and Morton Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Rev. James Snyder, pastor of the Church of God of Dayton, will officiate. Interment will be in St. Petersburg Cemetery.
