The Oil City Derrick - Tuesday, December 20, 1932 Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, 59, wife of James K. Miller, 109 Pennsylvania Avenue, Oil City, died at Oil City Hospital at 5:20 p.m. Monday. Death was caused by diabetes from which she suffered for several years. Mrs. Miller had been seriously sick since last Friday. She was born March 28, 1873, at St. Petersburg, Clarion County, and was the daughter of Jacob and Catherine Dittman Nevel. She was a devoted member of the First Evangelical Church and served for any years as the superintendent of the Cradle Roll Class. Mrs. Miller was one of the founders of the Alpha Delta Class, a member of the Women's Missionary and the Women's Aid Socities. She is survived by her husband, James K. Miller, one son, Ralph L. Miller of Franklin, and the following sisters: Mrs. Emma Christ of Franklin, Mrs. Mary Russell of St. Petersburg and Mrs. Nora Jackson of Turkey City; and two grandchildren. Her body was removed to the Osenider Chapel and was then taken to the family home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Evangelical Church with Rev. S. V. Carnanny, officiating. Interment will be made in Grove Hill Cemetery, Oil City.
