"David LaTourette, yeoman, Westfield--to my wife, Mary LaTourette, 200 pounds likewise the interest on 200 pounds, during her lifetime, on her death last ment. 200 pounds to go to three grandchildren, David, Ann and James Hart. To my wife, Mary all household furniture which she had at the time of our marriage, with two silver table spoons, which I bought at her father's vendue, also my sorrel mare and riding chair, my young wench, Jude. To my son, John, my gun, my pair of pistols and clock and negor, Jack. To John and my grandson, David Hart, my wearing apparel. To said David, I give my silver watch. To my daughter, Elizabeth La Forge, six silver tablespoons and my two blacks, Tonah and Titus. To my daughter, Polly Britten, 100 pounds. To my son John's three children, David, Elizabeth and Susannah, 50 pounds each. I also order the part of estate upon which I now live to the eastward of the gate upon the new road, to be sold after my decease and the proceeds equally divided between my two daughters, Elizabeth La Forge and Mary Britton upon the condition that they bring up my granddaughter, Ann Hart, with reasonable tenderness. The remainder of my estate to my son, John LaTourette. My negro man, Peter, shall be allowed six months to provide himself a master. My old negro man, Jack is at liberty to serve whom he pleases.
