HAZEL OLIVIA HAVENS: "Milan Standard,Milan,MO. 13 May 1982 Sec.3,Pg.7,Col.3" Hazel Olivia Jones Hazel Olivia Jones ,resident of Browning, passed away at her home on May 6,1982 at the age of 78 years, 6 months, and 4 days. She was the daughter of William Henry and Laura (Ellen) Long Havens born on November 2,1903. She was united in marriage October 30,1920 to Estie F. Bauswell, who preceded her in death. To this union two daughters were born: Beverly Ellen Rinehart of Browning and Waverly Jean Quigley of Brookfield. On November 5,1932 she married Victor Jones of Browning. Hazel was converted and baptized at the Locust Valley Church on September 10,1953 and later transferred her membership to the Browning Baptist Church. Hazel was preceded in death by her father and mother; five brothers, Lon, Harry, Tim, William and Hilemon; five sisters, Ethel, Alpha, Leona, Nell, and Eunice; infant twins and one infant grandson. Surviving are her devoted and loving husband; two daughters, Beverly Rinehart and Jean Quigley; two sons-in-law, Robert Rinehart and J.D. Quigley and one beloved sister-in-law, Beulah Knifong; 7 grandchildren, Sharon Harrelson, Baton Rouge, La.; Robert Neal Rinehart, Woodman, Wisc.; Gloria Head, Browning, Mo.; Judy Merritt, Wellington, Mo.; David Quigley, Chillicothe, Mo.; Vick Quigley and Gary Rinehart, Liberty, Mo.; twenty great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs.Olga Elliott and Anna Brown of Brookfield, Mo. and Mrs. Wenona Burdett, Kirksville, Mo; two brothers, Philemon Havens, Paris, Mo. and Wilson Havens, Browning, Mo.; nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Hazel was a very special person and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Her marriage to Vic was rare in the love that they shared. She was content with life and took us as we came. A loving one from us is gone, A voice we loved is still. A place is vacant in our heart, Which never can be filled. God in His wisdom has recalled The boon his love has given Although the body is resting here, The soul is safe in heaven. Funeral service was Sunday, May 9,1982, 2:30 p.m. at the Browning Baptist Church, Rev. Don Almond officiated. Soloist was Mrs. Susan Rudloff accompanied by pianist Mrs. Ila Nevins. Casketbearers were Robert Neal Rinehart, Gary Rinehart, David Quigley, Vick Quigley, Dean Bauswell and John Bauswell. Internment was in the Knifong Cemetery directed by the Wade Funeral Home. CARD OF THANKS We wish to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to our relatives and friends for the beautiful flowers, food, cards, and the many acts of kindness extended us in the death and burial of our loved one. Our special thanks to Bro. Don Almond for his comforting words for the song service, and the First Baptist Church of Browning for the lovely dinner. May God bless each one of us.
