Surviving him are his wife, and one son, Wendell Delane, of the home. Buge as he was commonly called, was a kind and loving husband and father and a neighbor to every one who knew him, ready to help one and all in any possible way. At an early age he was converted. He believed in Christ as his Master. Read his Bible daily, and was a faithful believer until the end. As we loved him so we miss him, He seems the same as yesterday, His face so like to life, so calm, Bears not a trace of the great change Which all of us so dread. In our memory you are near, Loved, remembered, longed for always, Bringing many a silent tear. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, May 11,1951,at two o'clock at the Methodist Church in Browning, conducted by Rev. E.O. Hobbs in the presence of a large crowd of friends and relatives. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mrs. Velma Jennings, J.R. Williams, Mrs. Beverly Moore and James Calhoun, with Mrs.Ila Nevins at the piano. Flower girls were Shirley Swank, Jean Quigley, Betty Havens, Phyllis Brown, Avis Bowyer and Kay Burditt.
