  ANDREW THOMAS “TIM” HAVENS: RITES FOR A.T. HAVENS HELD BAPTIST CHURCH Andrew Thomas "Tim" Havens,74,of 29 Palms, California, passed away July 24,at the Veterans' Hospital in Livermore, California. Mr. Havens was born in Sullivan County, Missouri, August 24,1891,son of William Henry and Laura Ellen Long Havens. He enlisted in the Army October 17,1917,and served 1 1-2 years as line Sergeant and was discharged in Louisville, Ky., November 4,1919. On April 17,1920,he was united in marriage to Mabel Ellen Lee, who passed away on March 3,1940.Mr. Havens resided in California since September,1940. On July 22,1960,he married Ivah Hollon in Reno,Nevada. He is survived by the widow, two sons, Benjamin Lewis, Silvis,Ill., and Thomas Junior, San Diego, California; two daughters, Irola LaVene Rehbers, Stockton, Calif.; and Wilma Ruth Horegian, West Covina, Calif.; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, three brothers, Philomen, Paris, Mo.; Wilson and Hilemon of Browning,Mo.; eight sisters, Olga Elliott, Hazel Jones, Browning, Mo.; Nellie Hubler, Annie Brown, Brookfield,Mo.; Leona Buckallew, Winona Burditt, Milan,Mo.; Eunice Swank, Kansas City, Mo.; and Ethel Head, San Diego, California. Funeral services were held Sunday, July 31,1966, at the Browning Baptist church at 3 p.m. and conducted by the pastor, Rev.Clifford Abbott. Music was by Mrs. Velma Jennings and Mrs. Tressie Christy, Mrs.Leah Neet, pianist. Casket bearers were members of the American Legion Post and Military services were by No.274 and 228 at the Knifong cemetery. Internment was made under the direction of the Wade Funeral Home. Card of Thanks We wish to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to our relatives and friends for the floral offerings, cards of sympathy and the many acts of kindness extended us in the death and burial of our loved one, Tim Havens. Also thanks to Milan Legion Post 228,Browning Legion Post No.224, to Rev .Abbott for his comforting words, for the song service and to the Wades. We are indeed grateful.
