  Wikipedia The third USS Davis (DD-395) was a Somers-class destroyer in the United States Navy. She was named for Charles Henry Davis. Davis was launched 30 July 1938 USS PC-1137 was a PC-461-class submarine chaser built for the United States Navy during World War II. Commissioned 23 Oct 1943. Headed for the southwestern Pacific late in November.
