Notes
a. Continued:   29 year-old Daniel Abernathy was a woodcutter working for the Etowah Mining Company in Cass County, GA in 1850. He lived next to his brother Isaiah Abernathy and down the street from his father and other brothers, and their families. Living with Daniel was his wife Sarah, 22, GA, and daughter Mary, age 3, GA, and Ursula, 1, GA. 39 year-old Daniel Abernathy is listed as a planter in the 1860 federal census for Cass County, Georgia. He had real estate valued at $400, and personal property worth $200. Unfortunately, the census enumerator in Cass County only shows the first initial, for the first names, of those living in each household. Daniel and his wife S, age 33, had six children in their household under the age of 11. Five of the children were girls. Also living with them was A. Cole, a 52 year-old female, probably his mother-in-law, and J. Cole, an 18 year-old farm laborer.
