Note: Immigrated 9/30/1754 with parents at Philadelphia on the "Neptune" piloted by Cpt. Ware. Fought in the French and Indian War under General Braddock as a packman. Converted from Lutheren religion to German Baptist Bretheren. Lived in Bedford Co, PA from 1768-1797.
Mr. George Garner of Aitch, PA, says that Jacob was buried in the Grove cemetery, near the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River, in Woodcock Valley, the rough headstone was marked "J. B." Others say the grave was near the Entrekin Mill, close to the mouth of James Creek. B pg 360
