Note: Colin was born in Essex, due to the fact of the incoming wounded into London, so each London hospital was full. His mother was moved to Essex for the birth of her child. After a short stay in Essex, Colin & his mother moved back to London to be with Edward known as Ted her husband. They lived in a house in Kilburn 74 Percy Road, with George Wilson his wife Berthe, & their 7 children. It was a four Storey house, basement being a coal cellar. Ted & Gladys lived with Colin on the top floor. They lived their until 1955 when we moved to Stevenage. Colin was never short of a playmate, Uncle Bob had his bedroom on the floor below Ted & Family, Colin & Bob were great playmates when Uncle Bob was not working. The top floor only had two very large rooms, one was divided into two bedrooms, one for Ted & Gladys, the other for Colin & his younger sister Susan. On a cold December day about a week before Christmas in 1955 we moved to Stevenage. Many a happy year was to be spent their. Colin schooling was mostly in Stevenage, Peartree Junior school in School Close, & Heathcote, were he did very well. Starting work for William Hill a very large Betting company in London. Colin did well their, and staying for many a year. Often staying the night with his grandparents at 74 Percy Road Kilburn London. Colin also worked for a Betting Company in Stevenage, before joining British Aero Space in Stevenage, were he worked for about 34 years.
