a. Note:   He may be the Heinrich, age 20, who is listed in the 1795 Chortitza Colony Census as a foster son of Heinrich Janzen (b. ca 1756) #199120. He doesn't appear in the 1801 Chortitza Colony Census. In the 1816 Census he is listed in Kronsgarten among the landless (Stumpp's book The Emigration from Germany to Russia, p. 874). A note added to the 1816 Census entry for him says that he transferred to Chortitza in 1823.
