Notes
a. Note:   In the 1801 Chortitza Colony Census he is listed at Einlage #34 with his stepfather Wilhelm Thiessen. He had moved to Insel Chortitza by 1807 when his daughter Anna was born per the Chortitza Colony Vital Records. He was residing at Insel Chortitza #10 with Diedrich Wiens (b. ca 1755) #199274 in 1814 per the Oct 1816 Chortitza Colony Census. That census states that he was the '_____ son' of Diedrich Wiens. It seems probable that '_____ son' is a misreading of 'Schwiegersohn', or son-in-law. If Dirk Reimer was the son-in-law of Diedrich Wiens this would suggest that Dirk Reimer's first wife Maria Penner died sometime between 1803 and 1806 and that he moved to Insel Chortitza to marry Anna Wiens #199277 or one of her sisters. If so, this would suggest that Anna Wiens #199277 or one of her sisters was the mother of 186868's children born between 1807 and 1814. In the Oct 1816 Census Dirk Reimer's wife's name is given as Anna and her age is given as 24. The Oct 1816 Census data for Insel Chortitza is as of 1814, suggesting that Dirk Reimer's wife's Anna was born ca 1790. This would not be consistent with the age of Diedrich Wiens' daughter Anna Wiens #199277, who was born ca 1778 as suggested by her age as given in the 1795 Chortitza Colony Census (B. H. Unruh, p. 239). The Bergthal Gemeinde Buch on p. A44 states that Dirk Reimer married Anna Klassen #186869 in 1818 and that Anna Klassen was born in 1790. This would be consistent with the age of Dirk Reimer's wife Anna as given in the Oct 1816 Census. Thus Anna Klassen could have been the wife of Dirk Reimer in 1816 or even in 1814 if the Bergthal Gemeinde Buch gives the marriage date of Dirk Reimer and Anna Klassen incorrectly as 1818. Hopefully additional information will come to light that will help clarify this complicated situation.
