In the 1795 Chortitza Colony Census he is listed at Schoenhorst #32 with his siblings Peter and Helena (B. H. Unruh, p. 242). In the 1797 Census he is listed in Schoenhorst (P. Rempel, p. 46). In the 1801 Census he is listed at Rosenthal #44. He is stated to not have had full ownership rights to that home at that time. Between 1802 and 1803 he moved to Einlage where he is listed in the 1803 Heads of Households List (B. H. Unruh, p. 214). In the 1808 and Oct 1816 Censuses he is listed at Einlage #6 (B. H. Unruh, p. 258). In the 1795 Census his age is given as 16 and in the 1808 Census his age is given as 29, suggesting that he was born ca 1779. In the 1801 Census his age is given as 25 and in the Oct 1816 Census his age is given as 40, suggesting that he was born ca 1776.
