a. Note:   In the 1835 Molotschna Colony Census he is listed at Prangenau #20, where he is said to have come to Russia in 1828. In the 1850 Census he was also listed at Prangenau #20. Immigration records show a Franz Pauls from Boenhof with wife Anna, son Peter 7, daughter Eva 4 and Anna 2 migrating September 13, 1826, having received their passports from Marienwerders on September 3, 1826. This may have been a relative.
